2009 Exhibition Bands
EXHIBITION BANDS:
Furman University Paladin Regiment Marching Band -
The Paladian Regiment is 120+ members strong and is one of the finest
groups of its kind in the nation; its reputation for excellence
has been nationally recognized through performances on promotional
albums distributed by Jensen publications. Directed by Jay Bocook,
the Paladin Regiment has entertained audiences at professional football
games, Disney World shows, and numerous regional exhibitions, including
state marching championships. It is the aim of the marching band,
drum line, Furman Danzers and Colorguard to provide it's audiences
with varied and entertaining shows that also contain leading-edge
drill and creative musical arrangements.

The Boiling Springs Bulldog Band - is largest high
school band in the state with over 200 members,
and band is the largest student activity at BSHS. Approximately
85% of marching band members are honor roll students, and the extra-curricular
band program is 87% privately funded. In 2008 the marching band
recieved a Superior rating and ranked in the top 50 bands in the
USA at the Bands of America National Championship, received the
SCBDA Outstanding Performance Awards, a Superior Rating at the SCBDA
Concert Band Festival, a superior rating at the BOA National Championship,
the bronze medal and Superior rating at the SCBDA 5A Marching Band
Championship, and they recieved a Superior rating, first place in
their class, and were the overall Grand Champions at the Olde English
Marching Band Festival held in Rock Hill, SC.
